This project explores the symbiotic relationship between GFRP bending rods and tensile fabric.   Our project focuses on an aggregation of petal-like GFRP modules, with tensile tubes integrated with a fabric wrapping throughout the structure. Using Springform software and 3D scanning, we were able to predict the fabric form and check the accuracy of our hand-sewn models. Working with Teknit, we were able to produce a CNC knit fabric, custom-made to fit around our specific module. Further aggregations can be determined algorithmically, based on the dense or disperse characteristics of the two-module interaction.
